The balls that run the tracks on this sculpture are billiard balls. Billiards is run off a single gear motor. This motor powers a series of rotating tracks and levers that act as the ball lifts. They scoop up the ball so as the tracks rotate it transfers the ball to a separate scoop or track to finish taking it to the top. Billiards has several large lenses along with colored light bulbs incorporated into it, which give off a variety of light and visual attractions.
