Commissioned by a private collector, this rolling ball sculpture uses 1 ¼” ball bearings. They are taken to the top of several different track systems by chains, and an auger lift. Through out various points in course the balls trigger solenoid valves, letting a bubble of air into the different colored cylinders. These cylinders are filled with liquid silicon and lit by LED lamps from below. The silicon in each tube is a different viscosity, causing different bubble effects for each cylinder.
